Walmart $50 Waterproof (Mid-weight) Hikers

I got these shoes for Christmas 2001 and they have performed admirably since. They are  waterproof and comfortable. I didn't really even have to break them in. They didn't cause blisters or foot woes at all - - even on the first hike after I bought them. My advice is don't give into the peer pressure of buying some expensive shoes just because of a name brand. Just because something comes from Walmart or Target or Kmart doesn't mean it isn't a quality product. Some people get too caught up in "Brand Identity." If a shoe performs and is comfortable, who cares where it came from or how much it costs?

Upside:

Comfortable; Waterproof ; Cheap Price; Leather Construction.

Downside:

None so far.
