Kelty Streamside II
Jeff:
So far so good on the new tent. Very roomy for a lone hiker, and perfect fit for two. Nice vestibule area for 2 packs, shoes, and gear. It sets up easier with two people manning the poles, but I was able to set it up by myself the second time I used it. With a two-pole freestanding structure, the Streamside offers generous amounts of mesh for venitation and viewing. The full coverage main fly and stakeout vestibule provide ample weather protection and storage space for gear.
Upside:
Color-coded snap guides for each of the two poles. Fly completely covers tent. I ordered the ground cloth, too, and everything fit together like a glove.
Downside:
A little big for one person, but I'm not into the superlightweight gonzo hiking like some people. I don't mind carrying a little extra weight for the added comfort and space of a roomy backpacking tent.
