Discount Store (K-Mart) Dome Tent

Discount Store $20 two-person Dome Tent - -A typical tent you see people buy when they either don't know better, don't care or think that they will use it once or twice. This was officially my first tent that lasted a grand total of one hike my first. I really don't remember buying it, and there certainly wasn't anything really good about it - other than it kept me dry during a light rain. Its most notable feature was that it measured a perfect 6' x 6'; I'm 6' 3". That meant that I had to sleep kiddy-cornered. This position rendered its two-person capacity only true if I was sleeping in it with a circus midget. Its second most recognizable feature was its tiny hat-type rain-fly. It only covered the mesh panel at the top of the tent.
Upside:
Well...hmm...let me think. Well, I didn't lose a lot of money when I retired this tent after exactly one hike.
Downside:
Not big enough for two people over 5' 10" or so. No suitable fly. Fiberglass poles. Weight to size and use-ability ratio would be poor, limited ventalation, blah, blah blah...
