Walmart $50 Waterproof (Mid-weight) Hikers
Dana:
Okay, so early on I shopped too much at Walmart, but I have to admit, I used these shoes for two seasons, and the only damage to them was a metal lace hook that broke and a sole that started coming a little detached at the toe. They remained waterproof and comfortable the entire time I used them. Sometimes I really wonder why I bought new hikers. I think I was trying to shed the Walmart stigma. These were proof that you can find an occasional good deal at discount stores.
Upside:
Comfortable; Very Waterproof / gusseted leather tongue; Price; Leather Construction.
Downside:
Durability might have been a long-term issue; Toes did not have a scuff guard on them.
