Timberland Shoes
Christopher:
- I purchased these at the last minute to replace the Nike boots I ruined during my first hike. Because I was under a huge time constraint, I purchased the first pair that fit well, were in my budget and I liked the looks of them. I had no time to break them in before hitting the trail, but fortunately for me the first hike I used them on was an easy one. I still ended up with a few blisters though. I like the shoes and in fact I still have them but I have since then replaced them with a more substantial pair of boots.

Upside:
Well-built construction; toe scree shield for added protection; Vibram sole.

Downside:
Low-cut design offers no ankle support; laces do not stay tied; not waterproof.
