The North Face Blizzard Polarguard 3D
Dana:
I get cold at night, and I HATE being cold or wet while I'm sleeping. Pack weight is a huge issue with me as is fitting my 6' 3" frame and lastly, price is an issue. I like finding a good deal. Once again, I labored over catalogs, spec sheets, reviews and Internet sites for quite some time, trying to make the best discission possible for my "main use" sleep bag. As Hans and Frans said on Saturday Night Live, "Listen to me now and hear me later", if there is a mathematical formula that can give a quotient for: "Weight + Lowest Temperature Rating + Quality + Price", I'm sure this bag would have a shot at the top for synthetic fill bags. It's rated to 10 degrees, fits up to a 6' 6" person, weighs only 3 lb. 7 oz., features plenty fluffy loft with its Polorguard 3D fill and stuffs down to a decent size. The photo above is of the latest model. The specs look the same, the only change seems to be color (mine is light blue).

Upside:
Warm and cozy honest 10 degree rating
Quality construction
Fluffy Polorguard 3D fill
Draft tube
Foot section is slightly contoured for feet
Price as compared to weight and temperature rating is tough to beat

Downside:
Zipper sometimes snags the bag - perhaps a larger zipper would be better
