Komperdell Contour Grip Antishock Hiking Poles
Christopher:
Prior to receiving these as a birthday gift I had used the old tried and true hiking pole, a big stick. The stick worked well, but I had no idea what I was missing. The poles are lighter, easier to grasp and having one in each hand makes a world of difference. The poles feature strong, lightweight shafts, adjustable buckle-less straps and range from 28" collapsed to 56" extended.
Upside:
The contour grip extends below the handle to allow easy adjustment to terrain without changing the length of the poles.
Downside:
Because turning on/off the antishock device and adjusting the poles both require a twisting motion, it is easy to change one setting when you adjust the other.
